Advanced Higher Graphic Communication
The Advanced Higher Graphic Communication is a further study to Higher Graphic Communication. This course is similar to Higher Graphic Communication a sit also has 2 units and a Course Assignment. However, the Units at Advance Higher are more specialised and are preparing the students for a future in their chosen area of Graphics, either Technical or Commercial. The Course Assignment in Advanced Higher is chosen by the student, they have full control over their assignment and must generate a Brief for themselves to work from along with a timeline of how they should progress throughout the year.
The units involved in Advanced Higher Graphic Communication include Technical Graphics and Commercial and Visual Media Graphics.
At this point in their education students generally know which branch of Computer Graphics they are interested in and the Advanced Higher Curse Assignment allows then to fully prepare for this. In their course assignment they must produce a 20 pages Graphics folio and complete a 8-10 minute presentation showcasing their chosen graphic project. Students will spend approximately 6 months working on their Course Assignment as it is worth 60% of their overall grade.
The Advanced Higher exam contains written question on both technical and commercial and visual graphics. The exam will take 2 hours and be worth the final 40% of their overall grade.
